Record of Lodoss War II: Goshiki no Maryu (1997)

This is the sequel to "Record of Lodoss War I." The story covers volumes 2–7 of the novel, but Little Neese does not appear; her role is taken over by Deedlit. The final quest is an original addition not found in the novel: a battle against the descended evil god Kardis. NPC characters can now join the party, up to two members at a time. Battles have shifted to tactical combat even on the field, and operability has improved compared to "I." There is also a "Turbo Combat" option for short automatic battles, but it consumes LP and MP heavily, and only grants 10% of the usual experience points. Weapon abilities have been adjusted, and new features like lance charges for mounted units have been added. Characters can now also acquire titles like "Knight of Freedom."
Data from the previous game, Record of Lodoss War: The Grey Witch, can be loaded, but not for use as player characters. Instead, the loaded characters appear as NPC opponents in a specific event. In the Windows 95 version, the story has been adjusted to align more closely with the novel, and new events involving Woodchuck and Leylia have been added.
