"Suikoden: Tendou 108 Stars" is a historical simulation game released by Koei in 1997. Like its predecessor "Suikoden: Tenmei no Chikai", it is based on the novel "Suikoden", one of the four great Chinese classics written during the Ming Dynasty. It is for single player only.
This game follows the world view and basic rules of the previous game, but the number of characters has increased (about 350), and each character has a job level to further express their individuality (for example, if you have the job "thief", you can set traps, detect, steal items, rescue prisoners, etc.). In addition, the development of your own fortress is expressed by a so-called "miniature garden domestic system" in the form of a mini-scape, and a system is installed in which war is not necessarily aimed at occupying land, and territorial expansion can also be a disadvantage. The objective of the game is to defeat the wicked minister Gao Qiu, just like in the previous game, but unlike the previous game, which was set in the entire country at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, this game only has lands related to Suikoden, and the number of countries has been reduced. In addition, while in the previous game, an imperial decree was issued if the player's popularity reached 250, in this game, the player must reach 1000. Another difference is that the time limit can be extended depending on the conditions.
