このゲームは、考古学者で冒険家のララ・クロフトが、ビジネスウーマンのジャクリーン・ナトラに雇われてアトランティスのスカイオンと呼ばれる artefact を探す物語です。ゲームプレイでは、ララが複数のエリアや部屋の複合体に分かれたレベルを移動しながら、敵と戦い、謎を解いて進んでいきます。
